Birds of a Feather

Posted on 2022-01-272022-02-26

Three members of the Apsáalooke (Crow) Nation partner with outsiders who have courage and desire to join their way of life. They protect their homes and go on raids against White settlers to get what they need to survive. Each of the members of this crew is based on a real person from history. With these toys, I want my little ones to think about resistance to colonialism as heroic.

Chief Grizzly Bear leads this crew of Crow warriors.
Osh-Tisch is a badé (two-spirit) warrior who specializes in fighting with knives.
Iron Bull is a Crow warrior known for being strong willed.
Jim “Bloody Arm” Beckwourth is a fearless Black fighter who wants to bring more Black people into their group.
Eddie “Cut Nose” Rose is a ruthless fighter with a short fuse.
