America’s Team

Posted on 2022-01-312022-01-31

What’s more American than Cowboys? What’s more American than celebrating diversity? … Maybe football and capitalism and mind-numbing entertainment… I’m joking, of course.

I put this group of cowboys together because they did not fit in any of the other western crews I assembled. Then I decided to have fun with it and add a Dallas Cowboy. I’m going to share this set with my little one with the background that they are motivated by a desire to get attention (or you could say fame). They don’t fight for any real cause, unlike most of the sets I share. But perhaps they can be persuaded by other leaders to fight for something.

I hope that playing with them will reveal how being all about getting attention makes them succeptable to aiding others perpetuate systems of domination in exchange for fame.

Nat Love is an expert marksman. He does shows with the crew to make money, but he prefers to fly solo and live off the land.
Calamity Jane and her beloved horse, Satan, are a fearless duo who like to live dangerously.
Bill Pickett is a daredevil. He has a special talent at taking down any opponent (human or animal). And he’s sick with the lasso.
Bob Hayes is the fastest cowboy in the history of the world.
